News and Highlights

Dear BMS Community,

We want to thank all the Veterans in the Bernheim Community for sacrificing to protect our freedoms.  Veterans Day is a day to thank all members of our Armed Forces and our students did an outstanding job of honoring those who served.  Thank you for your dedication and service.

The Fall Festival was a huge success and we must give a great big shout out to our PTSA.  Thank you Ms. Lambright, Ms. Harper and Ms. First and all the other parents who came and rocked it out! Thank you to the BMS Staff and Beta students (High School and Middle School) who came out to help provide such a great time for our community.  Without the support of our parents and community BMS wouldn't be the great school it is today! We are so appreciative of all our families do to support BMS.  Thank you.

--Attendance is one of the biggest factors in student long term success.  We all want children to have the best chance at long term success with that please make every effort to have students at school and at school on time.  It is a small thing that has a HUGE impact. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to meet the needs of each and every student.

--Chromebooks: Please remind students to have their Chromebooks charged and ready for school.  They are doing a much better job of it as they have become more accustomed to it.  Please keep reminding them it is to them what our text books and trapper keepers were to us. (yes, I am old)
--House Competitions: Students keep in mind the House Competition is real! Explain how it works to your folks! We are including Box Tops as a way to earn points for your house under 'Be Responsible' and at the end of this nine weeks we will include the percentage of students on A and AB Honor Roll for each grade level as part of the house points!!! It will be part of 'Be Bold-Excellent Work Ethic'.  So work hard because it is the right thing to do and as an added plus it will earn points toward your house!!!!!! Remember, 6th Graders are the Cubs, 7th Graders are the Bears and 8th Graders are the Grizzlies, in the end we are all BRUINS! Go Bruins!

Calling all BMS Moms! Request for Ideas! We are wondering if there is a group of moms who might want to get together and journey through the tween years as a team.  Please follow the link and complete this short survey if you are interested.

Kentucky Youth Assembly first ever delegation from Bernheim Middle School!

A special Congratulations to our KYA Bruin delegates they did very well.  BMS KYA's bill on Child Abuse was passed by both the House and the Senate. The last step was to get it signed into law by the Governor.  Very few bills get signed into law and our Bruins were the bill authors of one of them!  Great job to our Bruin lawmakers in their inaugural Kentucky Youth Assembly.  These Bruins were Game Ready and BOLD in their display of citizenship and represented Bernheim with the utmost class.  Could not be more proud of delegates Jayden, Olivia, Emma, Isabella and EmmaLe! Great Job Mr. Anderson on your first year of KYA.
