1/22/24-1/26/24 BMS Newsbytes: Celebrations, News and Updates!

Dear Bernheim Community,

What a wonky week we just had! We are glad we did get to see students for at least one day!  There are new procedures for students as we have opened the new wings of the school so students are entering from the buses through the new space! It is wonderful to watch the students' faces as they see the new school spaces! With any luck and good weather we will see everyone for a full week next week! There are a lot of exciting things happening!

The Winter Renaissance Rally is right around the corner! We have rescheduled it for JANUARY 25TH! Students who have earned A’s, Bs, and even Cs and have remained referral free will get to participate throughout the day as either Gold, Silver or Bronze status card earners. All students will get to participate in the end of the day celebration.  Please continue to encourage your students to do the right thing, work hard and do their best in all they do.  The goal is always for 100% of our students to earn a Ren Card.  Friday’s theme is BMS ERAs Tour.  It is a Spirit day for all see the promo!

Which House is Winning This week? BMS  has a house system that is based on students' year of graduation.  Each house can earn points based on areas that are linked to the Bruin Way.  Points are earned by the percentage of the house on the honor roll, free from referrals, attendance, school spirit, showing responsibility for yourself and others,  participation in community service, random acts of kindness, and more!

 Keep Being Amazing Bruin Nation!!!

We do our best to keep you informed! BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information you might need. Individual teacher websites are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  We also have @henryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.

Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your students.
