BMS Welcomes you to 2024-2025!!!
Dear Bernheim Community,
We are so excited to welcome your students back to school! This summer has been different for all of us as BMS has been under construction! Students will be welcomed back to brand new spaces AUGUST 6th 2024! This start of the school year will be special as we are all walking into a new school. We will still have construction going on, but we are on the downhill slope!
We will be helping all of our 6th grade students transition to BMS for the first several days. Each student will have an Advisory teacher and we will spend time acclimating all of our students and especially making our 6th graders feel confident and cared for right here in Bruin Nation! Due to construction we are unable to have a traditional welcome “Cubs Camp” for 6th graders as we have in the past during the summer, but no worries, we will take extra special care of them from Day One!! Student schedules will be available in Infinite Campus on August 5th and we will walk students through their first day of school.
WHAT BUS WILL MY STUDENT RIDE?
BCPS has begun an new system:
Click here to go to the district website for instructions on the new STOPFINDER system for BCPS. Make sure that your online registration is complete and your address is correct in infinite campus.
We will help your student find their bus and bus number for the first several days of school. Have your student memorize their address and your phone number, that will certainly alleviate some of their stress in the first few days of school.
BMS FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL~ ROCKING THE LEGACY RAISING THE ROOF!
We are going to welcome your students with a fun day from day one! We are going to Rock the Legacy and Raise the Roof! BMS Students are the absolute best anywhere to be found and we are going to celebrate their return to their house in style! We can’t wait to see each and every Bruin! Dress like a Rock Star because each and every one of our students is definitely a ROCK Star! (As always, be school appropriate)
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT August 13th
We will be postponing our Back To School Night meet and greet, again due to construction and the need for every minute to have the school ready for students on August 6th. We will have BTSN August 13th from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm, please come by and say hi! We look forward to seeing everyone and can’t wait for you all to come see the new spaces and meet some new faces!
SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND WHAT TO BRING DAY ONE
The most important thing students will need on the first day of school is their smiles and excitement! The school supply list is posted here, however students don’t need to bring everything on the first day of school. Paper, pencils and their Chromebooks if they have them should be all students might need on day one.

Don't forget to update and register online! We still have SEVERAL families needing to complete the process! Please visit the BCPS Registration page.
CHROMEBOOK INFORMATION
All students will need a device for school, BCPS leases Chromebooks at a cost of $35 per school year per student. Most students take this option. Some students choose to have their own device however; they will need to complete the district Acceptable Use Policy for use of the internet, etc.
Students who will be 7th and 8th graders and were BMS students last year should already have their devices. They will still need to sign all technology forms and pay technology fees. Remember these fees are paid each year and the forms are completed each year. Please see district policy for details.
Incoming 6th grade students will receive their brand new chromebooks after all appropriate paperwork is completed within the first week or so of school. Please feel free to call the school with any questions you may have.
