Dear Bernheim Community,
It is hard to believe it is already December 2020 and we are at the mid-term of the second nine weeks. Midterm grades will be posted on Monday December 7th. We know the last nine months have been challenging for all and BMS students, families and staffulty have been exceptional in rising to the occasion! Hopefully 2021 will bring good news in the form of treatments and vaccines for COVID-19 and we can return to the things we love, for example, kids in school! Please encourage students and friends of students to log on to their google classroom each day and participate in their zoom classes. We want all students on track and ready for the start of the second semester! #GoBruins!

Academic Success :
Academic Success (ESS) will be on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:00-4:30 pm for students who are currently in need of extra support. While we are remote we are only offering 'Virtual' Academic support for students. Once we are in-person again we will be able to offer both options. If you would like your student to be a part of the Academic Success Program and you didn't receive a letter please contact Ms. Kuykendall at sheila.kuykendall@bullitt.kyschools.us and she can add your student to the google classroom. All we need from you is that you have your student log on.

How the Holiday Challenge works:
-Choose one challenge to complete each school day between Dec. 7th-18th (10 challenges total)
-Choose a NEW challenge each day
-Fill out this Google form (uploading any photos or videos) each day
-For each day that you complete a challenge, you will be eligible for a drawing for a holiday gift box (will include a gift card); there will be one for students and families and one staffulty winner per day.
*There will be a drawing on Friday Dec. 18 for a grand prize basket, one for students and families and one for staffulty. To be entered for the grand prize basket, you must complete 10 challenges, one per day.
From Friday December 11th through Friday December 18th we will be having SPIRIT Days -

we can. There are so many ways to keep up with what is going on at BMS. BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, please favorite this website. BMS Class Highlights is each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school. Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected. Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
