11/15/21-11/19/21: BMS Newsbytes, News, Updates and Celebrations

Dear Bernheim Community,

Thank you for a great week! We had a wonderful Veterans Day Ceremony. Thank you to Ms. Watkins and the students who presented.  You all honored our Veterans very well.  Bruin Nation as a whole, certainly made us proud as we honored our Veterans, everyone did a wonderful job.

There has been fantastic learning going on in Bruin Nation.  Ms. Clack's classes have been engineers all week and we believe that Tesla and Ford may have some new Car designers in a few years! So proud of our Cubs! They are rocking it!

BMS CLASS HIGHLIGHTS

Please follow the link to the BMS Class Highlights. (linked) You will find teachers' websites linked along with a brief update of what is going on in class.  Please visit their websites and lesson plan links to see all that  is happening.  The number one way to stay on top of your student's progress is through Infinite Campus. We are here to support your student and family in any way we can, please feel free to reach out.

CELEBRATE OUR NATION:

Thank you to all of those who sent in pictures of your loved ones. Our own Mr. Jackson is a Veteran and we are so proud of all of those who have served. More than proud, we are grateful. As the daughter of a WWII Vet, wife and mother of Navy Veterans, I am eternally grateful to all who have served to keep this great nation the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. Thank you!

COUNSELOR NEWS

Please speak to your student about how important it is to be kind to one another. Sadly, we are seeing an uptick in negative interactions amongst the students. In the words of the famous Disney character, Thumper, "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all." The world might be a better place if we could all live by that one! In so many ways, it is really that simple. Please encourage your students to let me know if they need me and also to always be kind.

Feel free to reach out amy.bush@bullitt.kyschools.us . Thank you for your support and help!

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher webpages which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.

Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your students.
