May 2- May 5| BMS Newsbytes, KSA Testing, SBDM election, Title 1 Parent Night, Archery News and More.

 Dear Bernheim Community,

Thank you to the 130 families who joined us for the Title 1 Student Showcase/Student Led Conference night.  Health Fair, Art Exhibit, Music and student work all around!  We were so happy to be able to dine with you all and spend time together at BMS.  Thank you to our staffulty for all they do for BMS students.

KENTUCKY SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT will be Tuesday May 3rd- Thursday, May 5th.  This assessment is key to students' success and to help build their schedules in future years.  Please let students know how very important it is for students to be here and to try their best.  Excellent Work Ethic is a key piece of the Bruin Way.  Students need a good night sleep each night, as well as a good breakfast, they need to bring their Chromebooks and their chargers.  Please help us help them be successful and encourage hard work and make sure they are present.  Thank you for your support and partnership in your child’s education.

PTSA

Thank you to the PTSA for helping Celebrate BMS teachers during BMS Teacher appreciation week.  Our parents, especially Ms. Amanda Mohr was so kind to our staffulty, teachers and staff alike.  So many sweet treats, kind thoughts and even charcuterie! Thank you for all you do for BMS students, staff and families.

Thank you for running the Parent SBDM Elections.  Congratulations to Kimberly Fentiman and Teresa Fightmaster for becoming members of the 2022-2023 BMS SBDM.

If you are interested in working with the PTSA next year please contact Amanda Mohr at amandascott1@aol.com.  We look forward to partnering with you next year to support your students!

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher webpages which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.

Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your students.
