May 15-May 20| BMS Newsbytes, Updates and Student Celebrations

 Dear Bernheim Community,

We had such a busy week this week! Congratulations to the students who were selected for the Scottish Rites Award.  Those students had their awards ceremony Tuesday night.  Thursday was the BMS Spring Band concert and students did a fantastic job. Friday we had our Leaders of the Month Celebration first thing in the morning.  Friday we also had our Spring Renaissance Rall with a Renaissance theme. Saturday is the 8th grade dance, Monday is House Day, Thursday is 8th grade promotion and Friday is the last day of school.  Busy busy busy!

SPRING RENAISSANCE RALLY

In all the busyness we want to take time to remember that school is all about the
academic success and citizenship of students.  BMS Staffulty is always finding ways to celebrate our students and this year’s Renaissance rally was no different.  Thank you to the Ren Crew and all the Staffulty for making it happen! Well done.  Thank you to the STUDENTS for making it happen.  80% of BMS students were honored for academic and citizenship by having additional time at the Renaissance Rally while 100% of our students were able to join in the end of the day fun.  Gold Card students earned that status by having all A’s and demonstrating excellent citizenship. Silver Card students earned that status by having A/B’s and excellent citizenship and Bronze Card students did the same with the exception of an occasional C.

Teachers honored Be Bold Pin Winners for each House.  We are very proud of these students.

Not only do teachers award Be Bold Pins to students but a special set of students is selected for the Bruin Excellence Pin Award from BMS. These students exemplify inside and outside of school what we all want for our future. These students have achieved academically and proven they are excellent citizens of the community in a multitude of ways.

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher webpages which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.

Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your students.
