Great First Full Week- News and Information

Dear BMS Community,

Thank you for a great first full week of school.  WE are so excited to have the students back in Bruin Nation.  The teachers and students have jumped right in and are doing a great job transforming the BMS learning environment into a 21st Century learning space.    Almost all students have obtained their Chromebooks at this point and are ready to learn.  Many have purchased Chromebook Sleeves for their computers which is perfect! Please remind students to charge their computers and bring them back Tuesday ready to learn! Please refer to the student handbook on Chromebooks for more information regarding Chromebook expectations procedures and routines.

NEWS and INFORMATION:
  • Bernheim Middle School is a great place to learn! We are thrilled to report our enrollment has increased to the point of being able to add another teacher to our staff.  This is great news as many of our classes were over capacity.  With the addition of another teacher, some students will experience a schedule change.  Since students have returned to school and adjusted so smoothly, we are confident this will have no impact on student success, though we know there will be a short period of adjustment.  Students will receive their schedules on the morning of Thursday August 24th.  This change will have a positive impact on the overall learning environment for Bernheim Middle School students and we appreciate your partnership as we continue to help BMS students be successful.

  • REMEMBER AUGUST 21, 2017 there is no school! There is SCHOOL on FEB 2! Mark your calendar.
  • School picture day is August 24th- DRESS SHARP on THURSDAY this week, and then wear your BRUIN SPIRIT WEAR on FRIDAY!
  • Boys' basketball tryouts will be Wednesday September 6th - Friday September 8th after school until 4:30 each day.  Some conditioning will also take place starting next Thursday.  KHSAA sports physicals must be on file before tryouts and conditioning.  Permission slips and information are posted outside Mr. Carnes door, Mr. Hoagland's door, and in the front office.
