8/19/24 BMS Newsbytes: CHECK IT OUT!

Dear Bernheim Community,

It’s been a fantastic first full week of school! Our students are working hard and their dedication to excellence is showing. Thank you to all families who came out and joined us for Back To School Night on Tuesday. It was a great turnout.

BCPS and BMS are joining forces to support families impacted by childhood cancer, which has deeply affected many in our community.

From September 9-13, we’ll be holding a Toy Drive to collect new toys for children undergoing cancer treatment in hospitals. Additionally, BCPS is selling t-shirts, and we encourage everyone in the BCPS community to wear the 'BCPS Goes Gold' shirt on September 13th. All proceeds will be donated to purchase items hospitals have requested items for children's families.  You can find the link to purchase the shirts below.

BEGINNING OF THE YEAR FORMS AND FEES

  • SEVERAL STUDENTS STILL NEED TO TAKE CARE OF START OF YEAR FORMS AND FEES.

  • PLEASE GET THAT DONE ASAP SO YOUR STUDENTS INTERNET ACCESS AND CHROMEBOOK REMAIN ACTIVE.

You can pay these fees online at Bullitt Schools Cash Online, or send them with your student to be given to their advisory teacher. Our bookkeeper will collect fees daily from classrooms.

DUE DATE: Temporary extension. Must get this done ASAP.

If you need assistance, please contact Marth Link at martha.link@bullitt.kyschools.us

SAME DAY TRANSPORTATION CHANGES??

To ensure smooth transportation arrangements, please contact the school by 2:30 pm if you need to make any changes. Here's how to update your student's transportation:

  • Call the school before 2:30 pm.

  • Send a transportation change note to Ms. Jennifer Vittitoe at jennifer.vittitoe@bullitt.kyschools.us.

If you didn’t have a chance to make the Back To School Night and visit all of our possible sports teams, we wanted to make you aware of what BMS has to offer.  At our school, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports, each offering a chance to develop skills, build friendships, and make lasting memories with teammates. Whether you're aiming for precision in archery, swinging for the fences in baseball or softball, showcasing your skills on the basketball court, spiking your way to victory in volleyball, bringing that Bruin energy with our cheer team, or pushing your limits in track, there’s something for everyone. Plus, we’re excited to announce that this year we’ve added boys and girls soccer to our lineup! Join a team, represent our school, and be part of something great!
