1/7/25: BCPS Winter Weather Update & BMS Chromebook Pickup Info

Dear BMS Families,

In the event we transition to NTI on Friday, January 10th, and your child left their Chromebook at school, you can pick it up on Thursday, January 9th, between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM at Bernheim Middle School.

If your child is in need of a day user device due to repairs, please let us know. Loaner devices are limited and will be prioritized for students with devices currently in repair. Students may use personal devices to access Google Classroom as well in the event of NTI.

Additionally, please note that there will be no middle school extracurricular activities tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8th.

Winter Weather Update from BCPS as of 1/7/25: 

Wednesday, January 8:

-District offices remain open; 12-month employees report to work.

-Maintenance and custodial crews continue clearing snow and ice.

-Schools will communicate Chromebook re-distribution details.

Thursday, January 9:

-Bullitt Day (in-person) for teachers and staff.

-No advisory or district cohort meetings to allow time for classroom preparation.

Friday, January 10:

-Students will return either in-person or via NTI.

-A final decision will be made Thursday afternoon based on road conditions, power availability, and weather forecasts.

As of now, we anticipate using three snow days this week, adjusting the last day of school to Friday, May 23rd.
