January 7th BMS Newsbytes: News, Information and Celebrations!

 Dear Bernheim Community,

Welcome to the new year here in Bernheim Country! We have so much work to do and can’t wait to get started.  Remind students that Chromebooks need to be charged nightly and that Chromebooks need to be brought back and forth to school along with their chargers.  Students have been counting on teachers to have chargers in classrooms and we simply do not.  We can’t wait to see our students back here at BMS.  (Pending weather of course)

SEE THE WEATHER UPDATE FROM DR. BACON.

Bullitt County Public Schools will be CLOSED on Monday, January 6th, 2025. All extracurricular activities scheduled for Monday are also CANCELLED.

As of now:
  • Tuesday, January 7 will be a Bullitt Day for teachers and staff.
  • Wednesday, January 8 will be the first day back for students.
Please continue to monitor your email for any further updates. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.

Stay safe out there, and I look forward to seeing everyone soon!

GETTING READY FOR WINTER

In the odd event of snow stay tuned to the news and BCPS websites, email and other social media to determine if it is a traditional snow day or a possible NTI day.  If Dr. Bacon determines that there will be an NTI Day at any time during the year the schedule will be as follows.  The word “IF” is pretty important here! We do want everyone to know what happens just in case!

Community Contributor Food Drive

Bernhiem Middle School well surpassed our goal of 1500 items for the Food Drive.  Our students and families are truly the best! Thank you for making a difference!

When you empower students to take the lead, they rise to the occasion and lead exceptionally well. BMS students actively engage in meaningful, real-world experiences that make a positive impact on our local community. Thank you to the entire BMS community for your incredible support in helping others this holiday season. Together, our students and their families truly exemplify what it means to BE THE GOOD in the world. Go Bruins!
