Dear Bernheim Community,
Thank you to all families who came to our Title 1 Showcase of Learning! We had a great turnout! Spring is such a busy time, not only did our students complete their Showcase of Learning they also completed the ELS assessment in Reading and Math. We are so proud of our students!
Thank you for your donations and continued support of the LJ Turnaround Center. The past few weeks have been a challenge and as the News Cameras go away and headlines settle down, there is still much clean up work to do! Thank you all!

🎯 Archery
After a busy and successful season, things are settling down for our archery team as they shift their focus to Nationals in May. The team is staying sharp with weekly practices—Tuesdays at Cedar Grove Elementary and Wednesdays at Bernheim—gearing up to represent us well on the national stage.
⚾ Baseball
The boys battled through a tough week with two hard-fought games, coming heartbreakingly close to their first win against Bullitt Lick. They’re showing grit and growth with every outing! This week, the pace slows down with just one game as they take on Mt. Washington at the Mt. Washington Sports Complex on Thursday at 6:00 PM.
⚽ Boys’ Soccer
After a quieter schedule last week, the boys are gearing up for a big week with two key matchups. They’ll host Bullitt East on Tuesday, then hit the road to face Nelson County on Thursday. Both games kick off at 6:00 PM. The team is hungry for their first win—let’s rally behind them and help make it happen!
⚽ Girls’ Soccer
It’s a full week for the girls’ soccer team as well, taking on the same opponents in reverse venues. On Monday, they’ll travel to Bullitt East, and on Wednesday they’ll host Nelson County. Both games begin at 6:00 PM. The team continues to grow stronger each week—best of luck, ladies!
🥎 Softball
Our softball team has a big week ahead! After some well-deserved rest and practice time early in the week, they’ll take on Zoneton at 6:00 PM on Wednesday at the Mt. Washington Sports Complex. On Thursday, they’re on the road for a doubleheader at Larue County. The girls continue to show impressive improvement with every game—keep it up!
🏃♂️ Track & Field
Our track and field athletes are ready to put their training to the test with their first meet of the season this weekend at North Bullitt High School. They’ve been working hard and are eager to compete. We’re looking forward to seeing all their efforts pay off. Good luck to all of our runners!

All Star Students of the Week
We do our best to keep you informed! BMS NewsBytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information you might need. Make sure you have downloaded the BCPS app and entered your students code for ROOMS. All information is there for teachers lessons! It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school. Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected. Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, X and Instagram. We also have @henryclaytime on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your students.
