8/27-8/31 News, Updates and Student Celebrations!

Dear BMS Community,

We have had a busy week here in Bruin Nation and we are so grateful for all of our teachers, staff, parents, and students! We have an outstanding school community and are working hard to create a great learning environment for BMS Students.  Thank you to our ladies in the front office for making BMS a wonderful place to be! Ms. Veatch, Ms. Carnes, Ms. Dillman and Ms. Ojala take care of our students every day and inspire kindness at every turn! Thank you for being so good to the students and staff at BMS.
THANK YOU BMS PTSA for helping to make BMS a great place for students! Thank you to our community partners at Lowes, Mr. Kerry Self, in Shepherdsville for generously donating our new shrubs. We would also like to thank Mr. Mike Rice and crew of Mike Rice Lawn Care for donating their time to update our landscaping. We greatly appreciate your willingness to help with our beautification of BMS! #culivatekindness

Thank you to our students who are game on!! In every class I visit I see students working very hard being on task, asking great questions and being fantastic learners!  Please take a minute and visit with your students today about some of the exciting ideas and concepts they are learning.

Thank you to our teachers and support staff as they continue to work with students and push them to excel at high levels.  We are going to challenge your student this year.  We hope they experience a bit of productive struggle as they come across challenging problems to solve, texts to read and concepts to connect to the world around them.

As always please let us know how we may be of assistance to you, we are always happy to
help.  There are so many ways to keep up with what is going on at BMS.  BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, please favorite this website.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind.  As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
