9/24-9/28 Updates, Information and Celebrations!

Dear BMS Community,

Students in every classroom are doing outstanding work.  We have science students working through science and engineering practices surrounding energy, where it comes from and where it goes.  Questions the world is asking constantly.  We have social studies students working through the geographic regions of the united states and makings sense of maps.  We have other students analyzing the events that led up to the revolutionary war.  We have writers in the making and deep thinking readers at every corner.  We have artists and musicians working to grow their craft and talents, and we have students learning foreign languages.  BMS is a great place to learn!

We are so grateful to our community partner Cedar Grove Coffee House! Thank you to Daniel Marin for supporting Problem Based Learning for 6th grade Math students! Students are so excited to participate in the process of creating a coffee for the market! We have students thinking about this and trying this work at home! So parents if your child says "try this" and it looks like coffee and smells like coffee it is probably a MATH PROJECT! Thank you Ms. Tepe and Mr. Marin for partnering in this outstanding way for middle school students! Maybe one day the students will see their concoction end up on the menu! Such great thinking and real world learning! We are so grateful to live in this community!
House Competition update!
The Cubs are winning! There is still time! Check it out!
