We are so excited to welcome your student back to Bruin Nation! The BMS Staffulty has planned a fantastic first day. It will be the BEST First Day ever. Things will be a little different this year on the first day. Come on and check us out! What to Bring?
For the 1st day please only send paper, pencil and folders in your student's backpack.
First Day BMS Folders:
BMS Folders are coming home tomorrow and there are many forms to complete and return. We would like to have all forms and fees collected by Friday. Students who have all completed forms turned in will receive their lockers starting on Monday. Please make sure all forms are turned in as we are looking forward to getting your student locker ready!! -- Please do make sure you have read the entire Student Handbook.
Chromebooks?
Ms. Karla Elliot is the BMS STC and will be our Chromebook Contact person this year. She is going to start getting Chromebooks to students who have already paid the fee and filled out the forms on Friday. It may take one to two weeks for everyone to receive their Chromebook. Ms. Elliott plans to get them out as soon as possible.
Several students still need to pay fees/fill out forms, Ms. Elliot will be sending those home this week to speed up the process. Please feel free to email her at karla.elliott@bullitt.kyschools.us
Car Riders:
Please do pull all the way to the front where Ms. Smith will be directing traffic in the morning. Students must wait until 7:40 to enter the building. Please follow all instructions from the directors of the Car Rider line, both in the morning and the afternoon. Safety is our number one concern!
Bus Information:
Attached is the district bus information. Please help your student find all their important information. During 4th period we will help students who need assistance with Bus Numbers- (Some are new this year) and we will remind them in 7th period too. Please assist with this information. Remind students to be paying close attention to all this information!
Where Do Students Go in the Morning?
All students will go to the gym (after they eat breakfast if they are going to eat), we will have a moment of introductions after everyone is settled . The Bears and Grizzlies will find their homerooms as they walk in- they are posted on the walls. Please also check for schedules through infinite campus. When we dismiss from the gym to first period, all students will go to Homeroom/1st period. We will exit the gym as we always do.
Cubs homerooms are also posted on the walls and in Infinite Campus as well, however all Cubs will leave the gym with their homeroom teacher. We will call them down by name. We are going to make the first day a great one! We will make sure everyone finds where they are supposed to be.
Lunch Money?
BMS has received a grant so that we can provide lunch and breakfast at no charge to students.
Who do I see for What?
The truth is we will all be happy to help you in anyway. However there are 'go to' folks for different things. Please see the attached link.
