10/5-10/9-BRUIN CUBS IN THE HOUSE! News, Updates and Student Celebrations!

Dear Bernheim Community,

Bruin Cubs in the HOUSE! The 6th grade students who chose the in person learning model will start this Monday! We are so excited!  We will be outside to greet your student and direct them upon their arrival! We can't wait!

CHECK OUT THE MEET THE CUBS TEACHERS VIDEO! They'll be there for you! (linked)

Bus stop information with times are linked here on News Bytes at the top and are on the district website.  Lunch will be provided for your student and the supply list has been reduced greatly.  (see below)  The weather is becoming very fall like, so make sure to send your student with a sweatshirt or hoodie as we will be taking students outside for a mask break. (weather permitting) We can't begin to tell you how thrilled we are to get to see your children again! We have all traveled through this historic time together and school will look different.

No matter how different school looks we are thrilled to be able to come back! So that we can stay open, please emphasize for students how important it is to wear their masks and wear them properly.  If your student is ill or has a fever, please keep them home.  They must be fever free for 72 hours before returning to school.  If they have Covid-19, the medical profession and health departments will give guidance to individuals.  Please see the BMS Healthy @ School and the BCPS Healthy @ School documents for all the details and precautions we are taking to keep everyone safe.

We have provided day one information to IN Person Cubs through Advisory Classes and Morning Announcements.  One big change is how the morning Car Rider line will look.  Please see the diagram and click the link below to watch the video.

There are several other changed procedures as well- Please check out the videos below!

Here is the In Person Learning Supply list,  we have reduced it greatly! If you need anything at all please let us know and we will support your student in any way we can!

As always we are always happy to help in anyway we can. There are so many ways to keep up with what is going on at BMS.  BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, please favorite this website. BMS Class Highlights is each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
