Jan 4-Jan 8th 2021! News and Updates! Congratulations to Brea Breeze BMS 2021 Teacher of the Year

  Dear Bernheim Community,

We hope your break was wonderful. We are excited to start back to remote learning on January 4th.  Please see the detailed scheduled below.  Monday and Thursday will be Advisory, Math and ELA, while Tuesday and Friday will be Advisory, Science, Social Studies and UA.  Wednesdays will now be students' power path days.  On Wednesday, students will have advisory as usual and their assignments for the day will "drop" in google classroom at 8:00 am.   We are modifying the schedule to prepare for Hybrid Learning which begins January 19th.

Next week each family will receive notification from the district informing them of the student's assigned day for Hybrid Learning.  BCA students' only schedule adjustment is the one mentioned above matching the change to remote learning for all students.    Please feel free to reach out to any of us if you have questions.

DAILY SCHEDULE

January 19th (Tuesday)
will be the first day of in person learning for A day students.  It will also be school picture day, so A day kids, dress for success! B day students will be here Jan 21 and 22. January 22nd is Picture day for the B day students!
The last day of the 2nd 9 weeks is January 15th.  Please encourage your student to stay up to date on their assignments

Please be looking for information from the district that will communicate whether or not your student is on A Day or B Day.

There may be changes to which day your student is assigned, so please pay attention to that information when it is sent out.

Renaissance Rewards Program: Bruins in the House!

We are starting a new program to celebrate Gold Card Students, Silver Card Students, Bronze Card Students and we are introducing the Grit Card

Gold Card Students are those who have earned all A's and are in most all of their zooms!  Silver Card Students are on the A/B honor roll and again, show up and participate!Bronze Card Students might have the occasional C, but the are showing great work ethic and show up and participate! The new Grit card will be teacher nominated and will be recognizing students who have really stepped up their game.  We will have weekly drawings for prizes from all four categories with the Gold Card Students having first choice of prizes, Silver next and so on.  Each month we will have a larger prize drawing, (for example a $50 Amazon gift card, A Hoverboard and more!) Gold Card students will have more entries, then Silver and so on!  So Show Up! Do your best on all your work, show up and participate!

Thank you to the PTSA, FRYSC and everyone who helped to support the new program!

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this website. BMS Class
Highlights is each
teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind.
