3/15/21-3/19/21: News, UPdates and Student Celebrations

Dear Bernheim Community,

March 22 is right around the corner! All In Person Learning Students will be here FOUR DAYS a week!  Wednesday will remain a remote learning day starting at 8:00 am with advisory.  If you are a car rider in the AM, please have everything ready to jump out of the car after we take your temperature.  Have hats off, don't have the heat blasting on your face, have your MASK ON, and be ready.  We want to be as efficient with the process as possible.  As we said last week, keeping students 6 feet apart won't be possible with all the students back, however, BMS will continue healthy at school practices and we will do all we can to keep everyone healthy.

Supplies? Students should already have all they need since they have been in school since 1/19/21, but just in case you were wondering we are including here what they need for school. Students need to have their lanyards, clear refillable water bottles, small backpack (cinch bags) Chromebooks, chargers, pencils, paper, and of course a MASK. Thank you for your support as we wrap up one year in pandemic life! It will be so nice to have full classrooms again!

Supporting Students

At BMS students have  access to Academic Success (ESS), Wonderful Wednesday Groups, and Recovery Programs, as well as the specific interventions  each teacher has in place to support students. The goal is that each and every student is able to make academic gains this year and move on to the next grade level with their class.  Please check Infinite Campus to see the progress of your student.  If they are failing please reach out to their teachers so an intervention plan can be made or adjusted.   We also have many social emotional supports in place to support student mental health. We have teacher mentors for each child and Ms. Bush and our counseling staff are available to provide additional mental health supports. Please let us know how we can help. The goal is for each and every student to be successful!

Bullitt Cloud Academy

It is important for ALL BCA students to attend each zoom lesson and  complete all learning tasks in google classroom.  BCA teachers are available and want to connect with you and your student.   BCA students also have ESS, Wonderful Wednesday, and will be working with Recovery Coach, Heather Davis.  BCA teachers want to provide students any and all opportunity to be successful.  The school day is from 8:00am -3:00pm every day.  Please have your student up and on their Zoom classes.

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
