March 8-March 12: News, Updates and Student Celebrations

 Dear Bernheim Community,

Thank you to all of Bruin Nation Community! To all of the parents, guardians, students, families, community members we salute you. As we approach the year mark of a once in a lifetime pandemic, we know it has been so challenging for everyone.  Thank you for being Bullitt County Strong throughout it all. It has been a meandering journey to be sure and we know you have supported your students and the school community through it all.  Thank you.

We hope the BMS Hybrid Learning students are ready to come back to school together! Starting March 22, 2021 Hybrid will be a thing of the past.  (hopefully for at least another 100 years) Awesome and Brilliant Students (A-day and B-day) will be all in school together. Students will attend school four days a week with Wednesday remaining remote learning starting at 8:00 am with advisory.  This will continue through the 3rd nine weeks.  Keep up with BCPS Facebook and website for Board news as it happens.

BMS will continue healthy at school practices. There are a few things that will simply not be possible with all the students in the building at once, specifically maintaining a 6 ft distance at all times.  However, with masks and regular spraying, cleaning and contact tracing abilities the return to school will be a success.  We know the past 12 months have been so challenging for everyone and we are hoping the next 12 months are so much brighter!

THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE FOR BCPS HYBRID LEARNERS

Teachers are available as per their Help Desk Times!

Supporting Students

At BMS students have  access to Academic Success (ESS), Wonderful Wednesday Groups, and Recovery Programs, as well as the specific interventions  each teacher has in place to support students. The goal is that each and every student is able to make academic gains this year and move on to the next grade level with their class.  Please check Infinite Campus to see the progress of your student.  If they are failing please reach out to their teachers so an intervention plan can be made or adjusted.  In most cases , if a student is failing, students are simply not completing learning tasks even with multiple prompts, and direct help and support from their teachers. We know this is a challenging time and we want to support students and families in any way we can.  The goal is for each and every student to be successful! Please let us know how we can help.

Bullitt Cloud Academy

It is important for ALL BCA students to attend each zoom lesson and  complete all learning tasks in google classroom.  BCA teachers are available and want to connect with you and your student.   BCA students also have ESS, Wonderful Wednesday, and will be working with Recovery Coach, Heather Davis.  BCA teachers want to provide students any and all opportunity to be successful.  The school day is from 8:00am -3:00pm every day.  Please have your student up and on their Zoom classes.

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has al
l forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. I
t is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind.
