Dear Bernheim Community,
Student Showcase night will be May 13th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Mark your calendar as this will be a time for you and your student to discuss and look at their progress and work this year. Advisory teachers will be available to share insights, answer questions and check in with you and your student. In the past we have had a meal together, due to Covid 19 that can't happen as such, however we are having Chic-fil-a Grab and Go meals for all who come. There will be a "sign-up genius" link sent closer to the date through Infinite Campus. You will need to pick a time slot and come at your assigned time. BCA families this is for you as well. This will be an in person event for you and your students. Please note only one parent/guardian is able to come with your student due to Covid 19 restrictions. Please contact your student's advisory teacher if you have questions.
Check out dates under "Mark your Calendar", there are several other important dates especially for our 8th graders. Promotion will be in person at BCHS on the evening of June 2 @ 6:00 pm. Each student will receive 4 guest invitations only. Of course, masks are mandatory. The event will be recorded and posted to BMS Website and Social Media. BCA families this event includes your students as well. If you aren't comfortable allowing your student to participate, certificates will be mailed. As a side note, if your student will require summer school in order to be promoted they obviously will not be able to participate in the promotion ceremony. Please contact your students advisory teacher with questions.
Supporting Students
At BMS students have access to Academic Success (ESS), Wonderful Wednesday Groups, and Recovery Programs, as well as the specific interventions each teacher has in place to support students. Contact Brea Breeze at brea.breeze@bullitt.kyschools.us to sign your student up for Academic Success. You may also call the school directly at (502) 869-4000 between the hours of 8:00-3:00 pm to inquire about Wonderful Wednesdays or any other recovery programs.
Please check Infinite Campus to see the progress of your student. If they are failing please reach out to their teachers so an intervention plan can be made or adjusted. Please let us know how we can help.
Bullitt Cloud Academy
It is important for ALL BCA students to attend each zoom lesson and complete all learning tasks in google classroom. BCA teachers are available and want to connect with you and your student. BCA students also have ESS, Wonderful Wednesday, and will be working with Recovery Coach, Heather Davis. BCA teachers want to provide students any and all opportunity to be successful. The school day is from 8:00am -3:00pm every day. Please have your student up and on their Zoom classes.

ATTENDANCE:
Students do need to be here, if they are not here it is an absence. Students need to be in their classroom by 8:00 am, or they are considered tardy. This is the same as it has been in years past. The school day begins at 8:00 am, please make sure students are up and going if they are in the BCA. Wednesday is the only Remote day for all students and they have class work ALL DAY. They are to be up and on their advisory zoom at 8:00 am. It is a school day, it counts!
