January 31- February 4: BMS Newsbytes! Student Celebrations, News, Updates and More!

 Dear Bernheim Community,

We almost had a full week of school, just shy of a couple of hours.  It was a great week at BMS.  We celebrated reading with Reading Parties, celebrated students who have earned Be Bold cards with spirit wear giveaways and students were excited about it all.  We did postpone the Catch The Wave Ren Rally to next Friday so there is more fun to look forward to this week.

The Archery Word from Coach Egbert:

Bernheim had another exciting weekend last weekend.  First we would like to thank all the families, coaches and archers that helped us have another successful tournament!  Without these tournaments we would not be able to provide a low cost sport for our archer families.  Your participation makes it possible.  Special shout out to the archers who helped us, they all worked hard and we are proud of them!

We improved our bullseye state qualifying score and are currently 3rd in KY where the top 3 teams are separated by 14 points!  We had our first 3D state qualifier and were able to set a high first state qualifying score.  We are currently 2nd in KY.

Individual highlights:

Bernheim State Qualifier

Boys - Dalston 1st, Trey 2nd, Chase 3rd, Calen 4th, Eli 5th (Calen and Eli had a close shoot off as they had identical scores)

Girls - Riley 3rd

Boys - Trey 1st, Calen 2nd, Mark 3rd

Girls - Riley 1st, Kady 2nd, Bailey 3rd

Keep Being Amazing Bruin Nation!!!

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher webpages which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.

Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your students.
