October 15, 2024 BMS Newsbytes: Check it Out!

Dear Bernheim Community,

FALL BREAK  is October 5th through October 14th for students.  We hope students are able to enjoy their time off and will be ready to work hard upon their return! We are already to the end of the first quarter, the year is flying by!  The second annual Title 1 Community Contributor Carnival will be 10/24/24  from 6:00 pm -7:30 pm.  We hope to see you there.  Check out the flyer created by Riley and Macey.

SCHOOL SAFETY

We are having an assembly to inform students on the dangers of VAPING on Tuesday, October 15th. We have seen an increase in this activity over the last couple of years and we are concerned for our students' health and wellbeing.  The age that students are beginning to vape is getting younger and younger.

SAME DAY TRANSPORTATION CHANGES??

  • Call the school before 2:30 pm.

  • Send a transportation change note to Ms. Jennifer Vittitoe at jennifer.vittitoe@bullitt.kyschools.us.

Be sure to speak with someone at the school and provide the written note. Please note: Due to overcrowding, students typically cannot ride home with friends.

PTSA

The PTSA is looking forward to having more parents join the team! Please reach out to Mark Vibbet for more information at mavibbert1@gmail.com .  We appreciate our parents very much and would love to have more parent involvement in the PTSA.

We will be having elections for officers very soon.

Spirit Wear Flyers will be coming out soon as well!  Contact the PTSA president, Mark Vibbert, to help out! mavibbert1@gmail.com

Please contact Stephanie Dillman at (502) 869-4000 for any questions about volunteering at BMS.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Our Advisories have started work on their Community Contributor Carnival Game. Each Advisory has chosen a non-profit to support and will collaborate to create a carnival game to raise money for their non-profit. We can’t wait to see what our students create!

We have had many students turn in their Work Ethic Certification Commitment Form. We would love to recognize your child at the end of the year with a Work Ethic Certificate! Please see the link here for more information.
