11/8/24. BMS Newsbytes: News, Updates and Celebrations!

Dear Bernheim Community,

Thank you for another great week.  We hope everyone is getting out to vote today! As we work together to support your children the right to vote is a gift that my family has fought for and many of your families have to! Please take the time to engage in that right today! On that note,  Veterans Day is November 11th, please see the information below regarding a request for family photos!

Veterans Day

We are requesting photos of family members who have or are currently serving in our armed forces.  We need the photos by Friday, Nov. 8th as we will honor Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11th.  Please fill out this form or email your info and photos to Ms. Watkins april.watkins3@bullitt.kyschools.us

If you sent in a photo last year, we have it and will use that photo again this year.  Thank you for your help in honoring all of our veterans.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Thank you for your support as we help your students gain knowledge and grow! We are so proud of all their hard work.  Please keep talking to them, having dinner with them and checking their devices. If you need any support at all please reach out to me at   amy.bush@bullitt.kyschools.us

Parent Corner

Did you know: Children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don’t; yet, only a quarter of teens report having these conversations.

This year’s theme is Life Is A Movie, Film Drug Free.™ Visit www.redribbon.org to learn more about Red Ribbon Week® and get tips for talking to your kids about drugs. The life you save may be that of your own child or a dear friend.

Substance Use Conversation

If you have any questions or need counseling support, please feel free to email amy.bush@bullitt.kyschools.us.
