12/16/24 BMS Newsbytes Check it Out!!

Dear Bernheim Community,

The Holiday Season is here, and excitement is in the air! December is such a fun time at school, with festive activities, holiday performances, and chances to spread kindness and cheer. Our music program will have its Holiday Concert at 6:00 pm on Thursday! Come out and enjoy the students' hard work.

It’s also a great time to reflect on all the good things this year has brought and to think about ways we can give back to others. We are so proud of BRUIN Nation and the whole Bernheim Community.  We have surpassed our goal of 1500 items for the food drive and are well on our way to 3000! Go Bruins! We’re looking forward to making the most of these last few days of 2024 together.

Next week is SPIRIT WEEK please see below for the spirit days that students helped choose!

ATHLETES : Please know that student athletes are held to a high standard.  Their grades and conduct will be checked weekly.  Students must be passing all classes to play for BMS as well be in good standing with their conduct.  If you have questions about athletics please contact BMS Athletic Director james.carnes@bullitt.kyschools.us

Archery:  The BMS Archery Team hit the bullseye again, taking first place overall at last weekend’s tournament! Several team members had impressive individual finishes: the boys claimed 1st, 4th, and 5th place, while the girls earned 4th and 5th place. The team is ready to take aim at more success this weekend as they compete in a tournament at St. Martha. Good luck, Archers!

Boys' Basketball:  It was a hard-fought week for our 6th and 7th grade Boys' Basketball teams during the county tournament. While the results didn’t go their way, the boys played with heart and determination. The 8th grade will start their tournament play on Monday December 16th. Good luck gentleman.

Cheer:  Our incredible Cheer Squad is working hard in preparation for the national competition at Disney this February. Their energy and dedication continue to shine bright. Keep up the great work, ladies!

Volleyball:  Excitement is in the air as the Volleyball team roster is set, and practice for the upcoming season is in full swing. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish this year!
