10/22/18-10/26/18 News, Updates, Information and More!

Dear BMS Community,

It has been a fantastic week here in Bruin Nation! Report Cards will go home 10/24/18.  Please sign those and send them back to your students homeroom teacher.  If you have any questions for your student's teachers please feel free to contact them via email or by leaving a phone message.  Each teacher has a website that is easily accessed from the school website or even from here on BMS News Bytes!  BMS teachers do a fantastic job and want to help your student be successful! Thank you for helping us create a safe, caring and highly engaging environment for your student. We believe in a creating an effective culture for learning for all students! Please let us know how we might be able to help your student be even more successful!

We have so many exciting things going on at BMS! Come on out and check us out!!!   Our Book Fair starts October 24th and lasts through October 31st!

PTSA/STLP/Planet BMS have partnered to create a kindness campaign.  Students were given a rock to decorate and bring back to school to share and put in our rock garden out front.  The idea is to spread kindness like confetti.  So if your student came home with a rock they were supposed to decorate it and bring it back Monday! If they still have it tell them to finish it and bring it back to school! Kindness Rocks!

 BMS PTSA News:

Attendance Matters:
This week Grizzlies had a 96.95% day and the Cubs had a 98.15% day, the Bears came in at 97.93% once but that was on the same day the Cubs had 98%.  Keep working hard and making sure you are HERE!!!

All research shows students with high attendance perform better academically and have higher success rates in high school and college. Assist in your student's success by making sure they are at school!

Game Day! House Awards! Bruin Bash! Renaissance Rally! End of the year Awards! All of these include an attendance component and we sure want students to be eligible!! Our goal is to help ALL students be successful and the first step is to Be Here at school.  Please let us know how we can help make sure they are here!
