Jan 28- Feb 2 Updates, Information and Celebrations

Dear BMS Community,
BMS has been busy this week! We started our week by celebrating families with our Title 1 Parent Involvement Celebration of Dads with our Donuts with Dads on Tuesday.  Thank you so much for taking time out of your day and coming to spend time with your BMS student.  Family is so important and we appreciate each and every one of you.

Our 8th Grade Grizzlies House celebrated their House Win Friday of this week with the HOUSE Bash where all students were able to participate in a House level celebration! Students had time to be a kid, play and celebrate the HOUSE win- Great job showing the Bruin Way. Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, Be Here and Be Bold in Kindness Courage and Excellent Work Ethic. Well Done! Keep it up!

Ms. Korby and Ms. McKenzie's 7th Grade math students have been working on a problem based learning activity where they are designing and building a scale model of their dream home.  It has been a fantastic learning experience for students.  Please ask them how they applied their Math skills to the real world process of designing a home!

Ms. Noland's 4th period class had their reading celebration this week, they are looking forward to the next one with excitement! Keep it Up! Read, Read, Read!

Be Here! Show Up! It matters! Here in Bruin Nation we are instilling in students the importance of having excellent work ethic.  Part of having excellent work ethic is showing up to "work".
