What an exciting week we had here in Bruin Nation! We have had students investigating forensics, reading engaging stories in their ELA classrooms and learning to write personal narratives. Our 7th grade scientists are engineering insulators and learning about the real world applications for physics and thermodynamics. In one classroom there was a great debate on the dangers of vaping. Students had to cite reliable sources and note their evidence to support their claim. It was a very lively conversation. So much great learning going on!
Attendance has been on the decline lately. Please remember attendance is an important link to success. Please help your student succeed by making sure they are at school.
Speaking of being at school, what a FUN day today was. We started our day with our House Minute to Win It competition. We had EIGHT reading celebrations with popcorn party, and all students who had their green Starter Renaissance Card on them today received a small treat at the end of the day. We don't want anyone to miss out on the fun stuff! Come to School!
Box Tops for Education is an easy method to support schools. They have a cool new app, that allows you to scan receipts and the box top funds go straight to your school account- supper easy and costs families nothing other than a second or two to scan items receipts.
