Dec 16-Dec 20: News, Updates and Celebrations

Dear Bernheim Community,

Please know THIS WEEK is especially critical as we have district-wide testing for elementary and middle schools. It is extremely important that students are here for this assessment and that they take it very seriously.   This assessment indicates their opportunities now and in the future! PLEASE MAKE SURE STUDENTS BRING THEIR CHROMEBOOKS CHARGED! CASE IS COMPLETED ON-LINE WITH THEIR CHROMEBOOKS.

Not only is next week CASE testing, it is also the week before Christmas Break and we do have some fun dress up days planned- we ask that you talk to your child and explain- you can be celebrating and working hard all in the same moment-- so even though we are encouraging school spirit and holiday spirit - we are asking that students work hard when they are supposed to work.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

BMS Band and Choir Concert was a success! Kids Warming up backstage were excited and a little nervous. I told them to "Break a Leg Gang"  Turns out most 11 year olds aren't familiar with that phrase! It means good luck in show business speak! They did a great job and we were very proud of all of our music students!

As always we are always happy to help in any way we can. There are so many ways to keep up with what is going on at BMS.  BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, please favorite this website. BMS Class Highlights is each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
