Each student belongs to an Advisory Class and has a mentor teacher. Students are logging on to their Advisory Class at 8:40 am each day. Teachers are working with students through programs such as the Harbor, Second Step, Mind-Up, and Naviance. Mentor teachers, through advisory, are teaching students about the Bruin Way which is part of the fiber of Bernheim Middle School. Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, Show up and Be Bold in Kindness, Courage and Excellent Work Ethic. Every Bruin in Bruin Nation belongs to a House. We have House competitions that include participation, grades, and following the Bruin Way with Respect, Responsibility, Kindness, Courage and Excellent Work Ethic. The Bruin Cubs, are the 6th grade, The Bears are the 7th grade, the Grizzlies are the 8th grade and Ursa Major includes the BCA students from BMS. As the year progresses the House that wins the House competition for the Quarter will earn a House Bash. In Person those are like mini Bruin Bash's. We are still working on a Virtual Celebration for students! So check your morning announcement slides for updates on points and here weekly.
