November 2-November 6TH- NEWS, UPDATES AND STUDENT CELEBRATIONS! IMPORTANT INFORMATION- PLEASE CHECK IT OUT

Dear Bernheim Community,

There is no school on Monday or Tuesday.  We want to encourage everyone to VOTE on Tuesday! Please know that BMS is not a polling station this year IF you normally come to BMS to vote you will need to check with the Bullitt County Clerk's office for your polling options.

We are still in remote learning through November 6th.  The Board in conjunction with the BC Health Department will share recommendations for the week of November 9th at the end of this week.  As per Dr. Bacon's communication to families (linked here) BCPS will be moving to a hybrid learning schedule.  What this means is that we will have only half of our in person learning students in the building at a time allowing us to provide for more social distancing.

Students will be divided into two groups. There will be an "A" group and there will be a "B" group.  This is done at the district level and is based on households. We apologize, but we will not be able to change students from A to B or vice versa.

The A Group of students will be learning at school on Monday and Tuesday, while the B Group of students will be learning via google classroom on Monday and Tuesday at home. On Thursday and Friday the B Group of students will be at school and the A Group of students will be learning via google classroom at home. Wednesday will be a day of virtual learning for all students.  See Below for the weekly rotation for Groups A/B.  This will impact the BMS BCA students slightly as well.

You will be notified which group your student is in via Infinite Campus Messenger no sooner than the evening of Wednesday, November 4th.  Be on the lookout for that and make sure you have signed up to receive Infinite Campus Alerts.

THIS WILL ONLY BEGIN ONCE WE COME OUT OF REMOTE LEARNING! PLEASE KEEP CHECKING YOUR EMAILS FROM BCPS, THE BCPS WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGES.

A special Congratulations goes to the BMS Leaders of the Month! Not only do they follow the Bruin Way on a daily basis, they LEAD by example. They encourage the people around the to always BE THE GOOD! Thank you to this outstanding group of young people!

As always we are always happy to help in anyway
we can. There are so many ways to keep up with what is going on at BMS.
BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, please favorite this website. BMS Class Highlights is each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
#BruinBold #GoBruins!

THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARENTS WHO 'SHOWED UP' FOR OUR VIRTUAL BMS TITLE 1 PARENT NIGHT.  IT WAS CERTAINLY DIFFERENT AND WE HOPE NEXT YEAR TO HAVE CHICKEN, BEANS AND SOME WONDERFUL ACTIVITIES PROVIDED BY STUDENTS.  IN THE MEANTIME THANK YOU FOR TAKING TIME OUT OF YOUR DAY TO MEET WITH US VIRTUALLY!
