Jan 25-Jan 29: News, Information, Updates and Student Celebrations!

 Dear Bernheim Community,

It has been a great start to the Hybrid Learning Schedule.  There were a few hiccups, but just a few! Thank you to all the staffulty, parents and especially our students who have been game on! We are able to keep students students 6 ft apart in classrooms this time around, which is wonderful! Students have been doing a great job wearing masks and following safety precautions.  In every room I go into kids say they are so happy to be back with their teachers.   Thank you to everyone for helping the first few days go smoothly.

Next Weeks Schedule

HYBRID SCHEDULE HELP DESK

With the first week behind us, students are adjusting to the change in the learning schedule.  Please help students know it is okay to contact their teachers on their @home days. It might take a little longer for teachers to respond but they will. If they need "zoom" help, the schedule below is for the help desk opportunities. Sometimes they simply need to speak directly to the teachers and might need to share a screen.  The zoom time is for exactly those occasions for students at home.  Please print the schedule out for students and have it available for your students in their "learning space" at home. Please contact any of us with questions and as always your student's advisory teacher is a great connection and can help in any way.

ATTENDANCE:
Students do need to be here on the days the are scheduled for, if they are not here it is an absence. Students need to be in their classroom by 8:00 am, or they are considered tardy.  This is the same as it has been in years past.  Students must be on their chromebooks doing their school work on the days they are at home as well.  The school day begins at 8:00 am, please make sure students are up and going even if they are in the BCA or on their @ home days.

REPORT CARDS
Student report cards go home to A-Day students on Tuesday, B-Day students on Friday and are available to all students through infinite campus January 26.  Please keep up with your students grades.  We offer Academic Success (ESS) Tuesday and Friday 3:00-4:30 pm.
BCPS Calendar
Below is the most recent calendar from BCPS.  You will notice this only takes us through the end of the THIRD nine weeks.  If we have learned anything from living through a pandemic it is that things change.

Please see The Middle Years Newsletter attached at the top of this site.  There are many things that are unique to middle schools students and this publication provides help and support for parents as we wander through the wonder years!  Check it out and let us know what you think about it! As always please email amy.bush@bullitt.kyschools.us with any questions or counseling needs

As always we are always happy to help in anyway
we can. There are so many ways to keep up with what is going on at BMS.
BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this website. BMS Class Highlights is each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
#BruinBold #GoBruins!
