Feb 22-Feb 26, 2021: News, Updates, and Celebrations!

Dear Bernheim Community,

For those of us longing for routine, the snow last week more or less threw a wrench in that! However, it was beautiful and many of our families were able to play and make the best of it!

Monday AWESOME Kids (A-day Students) will be in the building with charged Chromebook and chargers and ready to go! If you have a Brilliant Kid (B-day) please make sure they are logging in to google classroom, completing learning tasks and checking in with their teachers.  BCA students, it is important that you are in each and every Zoom Class and completing all of your work! Wednesday all students need to be on their 8:00 am advisory and complete their Power Path assignments. Video announcements are posted each and every day in students advisory classes, so again, please have student watch those so they can be up to date on all things BMS.  We are approaching the Midterm for the 3rd 9 weeks it is important for students to be GAME ON!

Supporting Students

At BMS students have  access to Academic Success (ESS), Wonderful Wednesday Groups, and Recovery Programs, as well as the specific interventions  each teacher has in place to support students. The goal is that each and every student is able to make academic gains this year and move on to the next grade level with their class.  Please check Infinite Campus to see the progress of your student.  If they are failing please reach out to their teachers so an intervention plan can be made or adjusted.  In most cases , if a student is failing, students are simply not completing learning tasks even with multiple prompts, and direct help and support from their teachers. We know this is a challenging time and we want to support students and families in any way we can.  The goal is for each and every student to be successful! Please let us know how we can help.

For the girls Annie W. placed first, Kayla C. second and Madison D. fourth.

For the boys Wyatt B. placed first, Chase S. second, Dalton Coomes third, Mark P. fourth and Samuel G. fifth.

Keep Being Amazing Bruin Nation!!!
As always we are always happy to help in anyway
we can. There are so many ways to keep up with what is going on at BMS.  BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this website. BMS Class Highlights is each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class.  The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher websites (also linked above) which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook, Twitter and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.
Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
