ATTENDANCE

The start of the 2021-2022 school year has shown many absences.  If your student is absent, other than officially quarantined, call the school and let us know why your student is absent.  When your student returns to school, please be sure to send in either a parent note or a doctor’s note.

By state regulations, students are only allowed 6 parent notes per school year, even if they move schools during the school year.  Student attendance is directly related to student achievement.  If you have any questions regarding attendance, please contact Mrs. Veatch or Ms. Harrison at 869-4000.

COVID

If your student tests positive for COVID, you need to contact the school as soon as you have a positive test result and you must fill out the Student Protocol Form.  Once you have completed this form, a district nurse will be in contact with you to let you know return dates.  Once the district nurses contact the school, we then begin contact tracing for any students that may have been exposed. Please do this as soon as you know!

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher webpages which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.

Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your student.
