February 28- March 4 BMS NewsBytes: News, Updates and Student Celebrations

 Dear Bernheim Community,

Thank you for yet another great week in Bruin Nation.  As we are getting close to the end of the 3rd Quarter it is time to remind students to stay on track with grades, behavior and manners.   Please remind your students to follow the student code of conduct at all times and to keep their grades up!  We have such great kids.  It does seem like they forget school wide expectations from time to time, together let’s help them stay focused on the right things.  We have many fun activities planned for the last quarter and want all students to be passing and free of behavior events so that they can participate.  Thank you for your continued support.

This wonderful group of students has been

recognized for doing a great job of following the BRUIN WAY this week!

The Archery Word from Coach Egbert:

3310 - we did it!  We accomplished our first goal by breaking 3300.

It was perfect timing as it was the last state qualifier of the season and put us in 3rd place in state in a ranking where 1st to 3rd is separated by 4 points!  We also had our second 290 of the season with Mark Pocker joining the club with an exact 290!

We were at the Thomas Nelson Bullseye State Qualifier.

Individual Highlights include:

Mark - 1st

Calen - 3rd

Connor - 5th

Bailey - 3rd

Riley - 5th

Bernheim also participated in the Bullitt Lick 3D state qualifier.

Individual Highlights:

Trey - 1st

Mark - 2nd

Sky - 3rd

Calen 4th

Lexie - 2nd

Riley - 3rd

Bailey - 5th

The coaches are excited about our chances at state in both bullseye and 3D.  We have 3 more weeks to prepare!!  We are at Atherton in Louisville on Saturday.

Keep Being Amazing Bruin Nation!!!

BMS News Bytes is our weekly newsletter, favorite this blog and the school website. BMS Class Highlights includes each teacher's snapshot about what's going on in class. The school website has all forms, information, calendar updates and district information along with links to individual teacher webpages which are extremely useful to both students and parents. It is important that you log into Parent Portal and choose the option to receive email and texts from the school.  Not only can you view your students grades, attendance and other information it is also a great communication tool to keep you connected.  Lastly, please follow us on social media including Facebook and Remind. We also have @hentryclaytime  on Instagram to keep up with the antics of our school therapy dog. As you can see we want to make every effort to stay connected with families.

Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to serve you and your students.
