Please make sure you are staying on top of your students' progress. Stay in touch with your student’s teachers through ROOMS, and always stay connected through Infinite Campus!
September is School Attendance Awareness Month!
We are off to a great start this school year! Please make every effort to ensure your student is at school each day. There are lots of great things happening in our classrooms and we don’t want students to miss out on learning!
Thursday, September 12th is High Attendance Day across the state of Kentucky. We would love to have 100% of our students present on this day!

COUNSELOR’S CORNER
Students received information about the District Work Ethic Certification in Advisory this week. Please see the information linked here for more details. Many students have already turned in the commitment form to their Advisory Teacher. If your student is interested in earning the Work Ethic Certificate for the 24-25 school year please complete the Commitment form and turn it into the Front Office.
Parents, one of the key players in students' stress and anxiety is social media and technology. Please work with your students in knowing how to manage technology and social media. See the information provided below in Parent Corner.
If you have any questions or need counseling support, please feel free to email amy.bush@bullitt.kyschools.us.
BCPS GOES GOLD
September 9th through the 13th we will be supporting families who have faced Childhood Cancer. BMS is having a toy drive for Norton’s Children's Hospital. All week from September 9th through the 13th Advisory CREWS are collecting and accepting new, unopened toys. Of course it will all go toward the House Competition, but that is not why we do things! We do the right thing, BECAUSE it is the right thing. Spreading a little cheer in the face of daunting challenges is the least we can do to support families. Please help support the Toy Drive at BMS.
BMS CLASS HIGHLIGHTS
Please check out the BMS Class Highlights, where teachers will update you on all the activities happening this week! (Click here to visit)
BCPS has sent home a code for you to access your students “ROOMS”. Please make sure you have signed up. Once you do you are in for the rest of your students BCPS career. Teachers have posted materials, resources, and other classroom essentials there.
To stay on top of your student's progress, the best tool is the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. (Log in here)
We’re here to support your student and family in any way we can, so don't hesitate to reach out.
ATHLETES : Please know that student athletes are held to a high standard. Their grades and conduct will be checked weekly. Students must be passing all classes to play for BMS as well be in good standing with their conduct. If you have questions about athletics please contact BMS Athletic Director james.carnes@bullitt.kyschools.us
Thank you to everyone who came out to our first game in our new gym.
Archery - Archery tryouts are scheduled for October 1st through October 3rd. Please ensure that you have an up-to-date KHSAA physical on file to participate. This season, the team will be limited in size, and all returning archers must also attend tryouts. We are seeking individuals who are coachable, possess skill, prioritize safety, and demonstrate strong academic performance, including good grades, attendance, and behavior.
Boys’ Basketball-Open gym sessions for boys’ basketball will begin this week on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Please note that these sessions are not part of the official tryouts but provide an opportunity for players to prepare ahead of the tryouts scheduled for October 1st and 2nd. A KHSAA physical and a completed permission slip must be submitted to Mr. Carnes to participate in the open gyms.
